Ai and STAR ANVIL STUDIOS
I will say this once, to be clear. We do not us Ai in our art work. The artists work, primarily with digital art programs the same as they have for years prior to the explosion of Ai. It's as simple as that. We have the same few artists we have used for several years now. Several of these have been doing TTRPG art for a decade or more.
We know people are concerned and don't want to be surprised that they have supported a project now or in the future that uses methods they disagree with. I love working with these artists, the back and forth collaboration they give is much more satisfying int he creation of a book than pressing a button. I will continue to work with artists and collaborate to make these products.
I would much rather be spending my time talking with the artists, writers, editors, and layout, etc. than having to take the time to answer this. This is not why i got into making game books, and comics soon!
I hope this helps those who have had questions about it or wondered. I don't plan on engaging any further if possible with this. As a person who works a full time day job, the time spent on making games should be fun and, while not easy, hopefully not the additional stress of having to speak on this or answer this again.
HAUNTED PROGRESS IMAGES
Below is a sample of the art that Ani worked on in various stages. I did not like the candle, I felt it was odd to put it so high. He thought it set a good mood look. I asked it be changed to a lightbulb. He felt the sink was more a wrecked older house, so maybe it was missing a faucet, I wanted it in there so he added it. Small details like that are done. While this doesn't show every step of the work, its some of the progress images he sends me as we talk about the work.

NEW ART
Hello everyone
I wanted to share a piece of art that will be going into the updated book. Most of the art is for previously not illusatrated creatures. This piece was done for the Hindrances section. With North America coming close to done, this will be the next book to go through layout. We will update again next month with the status of the print edition.

TALISMANS AND BASES- NEW CHAPTERS FOR THE CORE BOOK

MINOR UPDATE AND ART SHARE
When we first published the The Secret World for Savage Worlds we had several requests to have rules for creating Talismans. That was the impetus to making that, along with the Bases, a stretch goal for North America.
While those who backed North America will get these chapters first, as part of the stretch goals, we think they belong in the core book as part of the over all game. So, these will be added to the core book when it goes to print.
We are also updating a few pieces of art and addinig several pieces of art for many creatures or threats that did not have it the first time around.
In the mean time, here are a few pieces of art for the current Talismans being added to the book. The always amazing Ani Ghosh has done these for us.

APPROVED AND PROGRESS UPDATE

APPROVED
The new chapters are approved! That was the last major hurdle before work could move forward. The project is moving forward again.
NEXT STEPS
So, what comes next? There are a few pieces of art we are in the process of updating and several creature entries that didn't have art at all. We have sent those out to the artists to get completed. We have multiple artists who will be working on those to speed up the process.
Layout is getting updated to make the text have a little more room to breath and integrate the two new chapters of Talismans and Bases. This will also mean the Threat Cards will eb updated to include the new art as well.
PDF DELIVERY
Once all those things are in completed we will update all the PDFs and send those out. If you already have the PDF from the original that will be available to download from DTRPG as an update. If you are new and have never downloaded a copy from DTRPG you will get a code to redeem the PDF.
PHYSICAL DELIVERY
We are working with our manufacturer to to plan for the physical side. However, there won't much to report there until the above is done.
The next update will be the last weekend of June.

STATUS UPDATE

WAITING ON APPROVALS
This is always the slower part, as its out of control. We are waiting on Funcom to approve some items so we can complete the update to the text we want in place. Once we have that, we will get some minor art updates going as well. We will update all of you again in May on where things stand.
We know its not exciting or fun to have to wait to wait longer, but we promise we are making sure we are ready to get things rolling once we get the approvals in!
